Glue

I needed glue today to stick some things together I was making. I didn't want to buy any so I asked my mum for some. It was a mistake to go to my mum for it.

Alan: Hey mum, is there any glue in the house?
Mum: No. Do you need it?
Alan: If you don't have it, don't worry.
Mum: I can make you some glue.
Alan: No, please don't do that.
Mum: It will take five minutes.
Alan: No, seriously DO NOT MAKE IT.
Mum: It won't take long at all.
Alan: I said NO!
(Alan quickly moves to another room to avoid further discussion)

(Five minutes later...)

Mum: Here, I made the glue for you.
Alan: I said not to make it!
Mum: But it was so quick to make. Use it.
Alan: I don't need it anymore!
Mum: I'll just leave it here then.
Alan: !!!
Mum: I'm going out now
(Alan doesn't use it, he goes to his local news agency and picks up some glue for $1.23)

[Home made glue is not glue.]

It reminds me of my this diorama project I had in year 3 which I had to use this glue. That project was bad and I thought I had sufficiently repressed it. Here come the nightmares again...
